Project Scope:  
The project to demolish and renovate the 80,000 square foot ALCOM Headquarters facilities involved varying levels of design and construction work at two existing buildings. Building 9480 including the Regional Air Operations Center (RAOC) and Building 10471, plus the design and construction for a new Building 10490 that would become SCIF for the duration of the renovation of Building 9480.

All buildings were renovated and constructed to meet Military Design Standards

Project Details:


  • Designed new electric, lighting, and fire alarm system for Building 9480
  • Upgraded the electrical systems in the swing space areas of Building 10471
  • Designed upgraded electrical systems for all public areas, offices, support areas,
            and the Operations Room in RAOC
  • Designed new communications system, data wiring, and sprinkler system for
            Building 9480
  • Designed upgraded communications system in the swing space areas of Building 10471
  • Designed new HVAC system, and piping design and upgrades for Building 9480
  • Designed HVAC upgrades for all rooms, public areas and the Operations Room
            in RAOC Bldg
  • Designed new furring, insulation, and air/vapor moisture membrane at exterior walls,
            and new interior walls and doors for Building 9480
  • Provided project engineering to include contract documentation and specifications
            for bidding contractor
  • Provided on-site engineering
  • Provided and tracked construction milestones utilizing Microsoft Project and Critical
            Path Management System
